I was thinking about waiting until the next archive release to post this - especially seeing as I've already started a thread linking to the site - but there's no time like the present, or so I've been told. I guess it's also helpful if you wanted early confirmation as to who "Mario Brega" is.
As I wrote a few years back now, I've written these to highlight the positive and negative aspects of every Archive show released so far. And I'll really be damned if I don't do the same for every one that follows. I've been writing these so Springsteen fans of today and tomorrow will be able to have a good idea of these shows, such as the ones they need to listen to asap, as well as those shows that aren't as important right now, but still of possible interest and importance down the road.
You can find the four guides I've written here: https://cantfindtickets.wordpress.com/category/a-guide-to-springsteens-archive-series/
Thanks for your time!

With 2023 tour shows in Foxboro and NJ yet to be released and the tour itself on pause as Bruce recovers from peptic ulcer disease, I wanted to do what I thought would be possible back in January and publish a River 2016 review amidst my 2023 write-ups. Hope you enjoy it!

Thank you for doing all this. Seriously. Question: how many hours a day/week do you spend listening to music and what percentage is Bruce Springsteen?
https://cantfindtickets.wordpress.com/category/2023-international-tour/ For what I'd say is most easy 2023 review access at present.

One last 2016 review before the 2023 tour begins and my focus shifts to listening to and writing about the ongoing shows.
Time providing, I'm gonna aim to publish a 2016 review every first Friday or so.
Is "God help me" the right phrase to use here? 😂

Let's jump back in
https://cantfindtickets.wordpress.com/2022/01/26/bruce-springsteen-live-downloads-review-february-16th-2016-sunrise-fl-bbt-center/
Thought I'd give a little River Tour 2016 update seeing as I haven't posted a blog in two weeks - I wanted to take some time to catch myself up and not run out of content and stress, so sorry if you've been waiting for new reads! I'm liking the idea of publishing my Sunrise write-up this week, but I'd like to finish this one I'm writing right now beforehand. Hopefully I can get it done soon!
The first two write-ups of 2022:
The New Year's Day Possibilities for 2022 and Archive Series 2021 Top 10 for 2021: https://cantfindtickets.wordpress.com/2022/01/01/springsteens-archive-series-the-possibilities-for-2022-and-the-series-top-10-songs-of-2021/
And Friday's new Archive release from Anahiem, May 22nd, 2000: https://cantfindtickets.wordpress.com/2022/01/09/new-from-the-springsteen-archive-may-22nd-2000-anaheim-ca-arrowhead-pond-of-anaheim/
Final bump of 2021:
https://cantfindtickets.wordpress.com/2021/12/25/new-from-the-springsteen-archive-december-12th-1975-greenvale-ny-c-w-post-dome/
Thanks for reading what I've had to say this year folks, can't stress enough how grateful I am for it. I'm back on New Year's Day with the annual Possibilities for 2022 (and Top 10 for 2021) write-up. I'm really looking forward to it, if I say so myself!
I was going to take the week off from publishing a write-up and leave this one for next week, ending the year's Live Downloads reviews on it. Anyway I hope you enjoy this one and I'll see you guys next week for the Sunrise show!
https://cantfindtickets.wordpress.com/2021/12/10/bruce-springsteen-live-downloads-review-february-12th-2016-philadelphia-pa-wells-fargo-center/
Here's last week's Nassau #1 1980 review too, no idea why they won't embed properly :/

Just before that Nugs sale ends - and before Sunday Night Football kicks off - a new River Tour 2016 review: Hartford, enjoy! This one definitely struck me in a way it didn't back in 2018. A new addition to the Best of guides?*
*SPOILER...
... yes.
I just wish there were some way to know which ones are especially good. Some sort of, I don't know, review or write-up or something.
Might be worthy of an actual thread so nobody misses it, but for now, the annual 25% off Nugs sale has kicked off - https://www.nugs.net/bruce-springsteen-and-the-e-street-band-concerts-live-downloads-in-mp3-flac-or-online-music-streaming/.
Ends November 28th at 11:59pm, PT.
A new 2016 write-up and a new addition to the Best of guides, Albany 2016 is a good'un!
I still haven't got all of February written about, and now I'm starting to think I'll catch up with myself before I get to March. Is this how the jabronies who ruined Game of Thrones felt??
I've just noticed I wrote "but there won't be as well". I meant to write "maybe there won't", fwiw, I didn't intend for that to sound so bitter 😂
Maybe there'll be an Archive release today, but there won't be, but there is my new River Tour 2016 write-up about the Newark show if any of you are interested!
Something that's really been exciting me as of late writing these 2016 reviews (especially with No Nukes on the horizon) is the thought of an official Blu-ray release further on down the road of one of the full album shows.
It won't even matter which one they select and if that one's better or worse than another, to just watch The River live, played superbly from start to finish will be an absolute delight.
Here's a new 2016 write-up, enjoy!
Night Three of the tour from MSG - we're getting through these quick, I need to start getting more written!
I am not forgetting to post this, however
I forgot to post this in here
You guys ready to dive into The River Tour 2016?
Kansas City is magic. I bought that one in Pasadena on a sunny day in 1986. I rode that bus home and was transformed.
Bootleg collecting is my jam.
And here's that fourth and final Retro E Street Review, enjoy!
Next week's review should be Archive #71, and the week after that I'll get started on The River Tour 2016, but until then, it's all about those roses in the Kansas City rain.
So this is a bit of a random one, but for the last three years I've been bothered by my review of November 19th, 2007. I've always felt it was overly short and not informative enough, and for a long time considered writing something like a new "Archive revisited" post about it and publishing it. I haven't done that, but today I settled on just doing a little editing of what I wrote in April 2018.
I've intertwined a few excerpts I included in my definitive songs posts and cleaned up the structuring to hopefully make it a more interesting, time worthy read.
I know one goal of this blogging was to get better at writing and look back on older posts to see just how much I'd improved, but without wanting to sound big-headed, I feel these Archive Series reviews have become 'more' than just a vehicle for me to see if I've become a better writer.
I hope you enjoy this, if it's of interest to you tonight, and I'll be back... tomorrow with a new Retro E Street Review.
Everything I've written and published since late February/early March has been planned out to culminate in this particular blog. I really wish I could be posting this upon an Archive release, guys, I really do, but the 40th anniversary will have to suffice. Please, enjoy, I hope I've done this concert justice in regards to its significance, more than I hope I have for any other in the three years I've been writing.
Here's the second my special Retro E Street Reviews, March 25th, 1977 from Boston. Hope you enjoy it!
I'll also mention to you guys that my blogging for the week isn't finished. Expect another read in the next few days 😉
Ok, here we go with the first of four special Retro E Street Reviews before I get started on 2016: August 15th, 1975 from The Bottom Line.
The Last Dance.
Thanks for reading, for your feedback, and in several cases your help with helping put these reviews together guys. It's massively appreciated.
Do we have written proof that Steve doesn't like Crush On You ? Or was that just another cheap shot at a song i love lol ?
Jealous of all that got to spend the weekend and will forever feel incredibly lucky that i got to attend night 2.
Nearly done!
Not as quiet on Third Friday, but here's a new 2014 review nonetheless. We're very close to the end of the tour.
Quiet on Second Friday too. Archive #69 will come eventually, but until then...
Quiet on here today for a First Friday.
Of course, no new release, so here's Houston 2014
Not that it means anything to those on here who'll have been interested nearly three weeks ago, I've realised that I didn't post my Berkeley review in here.
So, for the posterity!
Got a new E Street Review for you guys, seeing as this one was never officially released. Hope it's worth your time 😃
Not to overshadow my new review (is that even possible from the person who wrote it?) but I've used there being no new Archive tonight to finish my Uncasville #2 review. I'll be posting it a little while down the road (it's over two months away yet), but right now I'm considering completing a full tour's worth of write-ups to be a big achievement. I really can't wait to share these next six (and beyond) write-ups with you guys 🙂
Well we look forward to next Friday for Archive #68 I guess.
Until then, here's Tampa 2014.
Here's another clue...but nobody "officially" knows until it's been delivered to nugs. People have told me it's in the pipeline, although plans can change. We will see.
So I've just finished making notes for May 17th, 2014 and I'm gonna start writing that this week. When that's finished, same again Uncasville #2 and then I'll be done with the 2014 write-ups! It'll just be a case of counting down the weeks to actually publish them.
The reason I'm writing this, though, is because I was sure listening to 34 versions of "High Hopes" ad nauseam would do it, but I'm really not mentally prepared yet to listen The River more or less on repeat for 40 weeks or so afterwards. HELP. ME.
And as promised, Sunrise 2014!
I'm taking the use of 'land' as reference to a spaceship/spaceman landing and that we're getting 31/10/80 from LA.
A shame, but not unexpected at this point. I'll have a review of Sunrise 2014 up to help pass the time by in a little while.
Sitting up late on an early Summer's evening...playing Boston '92, and although there are cringe worthy moments to be sure, I am enjoying it. I have kept a distance from it since it's release. There have been reasons to be sure (financial worry, mourning loses as they stack up, and that sneaking suspicion that the yard rehab project is gonna take some gumption to be sure....) I always had a uneasy feeling in regard to this tour. I did see them in L.A. over three nights that autumn. I remember looking down my nose as my hero over sang and over emoted his happy-ness. Sure he was due after all that damn brooding. But damn it that brooding brought us magic in the night. He performed his solo material with gusto and energy. I was watching as time marched on. In the fall of '92 I was bottoming out on my own and wasn't in the mood for new found freedoms. I was drunk all three nights, aided by various powders provided by my older girlfriend, oh she was maudlin in those cowboy boots to be sure, an out of work actress I met in a telemarketing job I managed to keep longer than 2 months.....but back to the music right???
Darkness is one of the best versions I have heard. The gospel/soul is deep. I hear it and remember that scared kid. Living Proof is worth the price of admission. Damn it I really like Gloria's Eyes. Soul Driver has finally found an arrangement that works....now years later, after all this I can finally relate to him and his "other" band.
Glad I finally took that Leap of Faith.
We are here and we are alive. I am obsessed with all things 1981 right now.
Just downloaded some European shows...Rotterdam and Paris night 1. Paris sounds really nice as an audience capture.
Oh, and of course, the variants of the two Stockholm shows. Oh my god they are good. If you haven't heard these shows you must. Something about a very American artist playing for people who grew up with the effects of the monolithic empire in their lives....he tells a story of a dream of freedom both real and imagined. He is explaining how music can change lives and he did. He took his gifts and filtered them through heartbreak and our troubled history to make these things real, I carry them with me always.
It's been quiet on here lately, is there anybody alive out there?
An infamous night for those who were there, in this new review I ponder whether it's really as bad as its reputation suggests. Check it out!
Aaaaand here's Pittsburgh 2014!
For posterity purposes. Pittsburgh 2014 will be out on Friday, if I can resist posting it tomorrow hahaha - and Christ that reminds me, I need to proof read it! It's only been finished for three weeks now 😂
Fresh up on The Blog:
"Burning Love". "Satisfaction". "Point Blank". We've made it to Nashville. Enjoy!
New review day (one of my favourite days of the week 🙂) and it's seven years to the day since this show too!
Got a new High Hopes Tour review up for you guys, I really like this show
and for posterity, LA '88
If anyone fancies a read, this week's 2014 tour review is now up 🙂
Today/tomorrow has something to do with basketball, so no better time to post this one!
Here we go, the final show of 2014's first half, seven years to the day. Enjoy!
Onto the last two shows of the 2014 tour's first half:
It slipped my mind to post this in here yesterday as well.
Hunter Valley #2 now up!
I guess a lot of you already have a glass of wine in hand, here's a timely new review to go with it.
