I have a triple vinyl bootleg of the show, not close to Nugs quality but listenable.
It was just such a great couple of days.
My first ever Bruce show was a month previously in Newcastle....life changing obviously, I deeply regret not hitting Edinburgh Playhouse four years previously, prior to that I was a metal obsessed child so any shows before 81 weren't in play.
Anyway, after Newcastle a month previously, I was absolutely up for this show.......
I left the night prior on the overnight train from my hometown in the NE. My Dad worked for the railways at that time, so he'd fixed it so I had my own sleeping compartment.
I hardly slept though, like a nipper the night before Christmas.
Arrived in That London early breakfast time, across to Paddington to meet my pals (who'd been the night prior) quick snack then out to Wembley.
Great day on the beer, met some folks from the U.S. including a gal called, believe it or not, Rosie from Long Beach.
Q-ed to get in, no pit in them days, got a great spot quite close.......the show was just awesome, still my first pick of all the shows I've been to.
Afterwards me and my Buddies re-enacted some famous Scotland goals on the Wembley pitch....
