I am sure there is an awful lot more drug use around than any sport cares to own up to. Sometimes I just look at athletes and can't believe their bodies are capable of reaching the heights they do. I mean Djokovic seemed to make a Trumpian recovery on Wednesday.
I would have preferred a Shwartzman v. Adonis final myself - something new and fresh, a bit like the US final, but it wasn't to be.
I think this dates back about 4 years ago when Andy Murray said he thought it possible that some top players might be using performance assisting drugs.
Djokovic said something along the lines of if it isn't proved, it isn't happening.
Nadal said this : “We have to be available for an hour for drug testing every day. 365 days a year."
An unpopular view on here but I like Novak, he played incredible tennis tonight, power, touch, athleticism and elegance. I’m delighted he won. Hope he beats the drugs cheat in the final.
I enjoyed the first semi final, specially the first set, but I am really looking forward to this next one, and not just because Tsitsipas is gorgeous...
🙄 Mrs r thinks he’s gorgeous too. First semi final was good, Schwartzman isn’t far away from being right at the top. Djokovic seems to have recovered from his neck problem, surprise surprise.
@riverdude4 Schwartzman had a great tournament and he has a fantastic attitude, but he’ll never make it to the very top, he’s only 5’ 7” which is a massive disadvantage.
Maybe outwith her reach if the rumoured achilles injury. That'd put her out for several months. As long as Djokvic doesn't win the mens I'll be happy. Another Thiem/Nadal final would have been good but I think they're in the same half of the draw - pity.
Well done, Nadal. The other lad had nothing.
This is crazy! Much as I don't much care for Djokovic he doesn't deserve to have lost the first set 6 - 0!
Holy shit...
Good article on the top 3.

Goodness me, that was some performance.
Very much enjoying the Ladies final. A few excellent rallies, a few errors, but so far, the right one is winning...

Well, Nadal ain’t no Adonis. But he‘ll have to do.
What a shame.
Come on Adonis!
Really enjoying this. Some fantastic tennis being played by both of them.
Can someone tell me why is it I can’t stand Djokovic?

Thiem v Schwartzman. What a match, best so far in the tournament.
Fantastic match, Gaston was wonderful as was Swiatek this morning when she trounced Halep.
Great match on right now Thiem v Gaston.
Sad to see Serena has had to withdraw. The record remains illusive.
I'm watching Konta and Gauff now, being unpatriotic and supporting Gauff!
Very uncomfortable viewing, the writing was on the wall early in the first set.
Really disappointing. I had thought he had a decent chance today, but not to be.
Oh well. Maybe Andy needed an easier opener. I’m sure he’ll keep trying but top 10, even 20 looks unlikely as things stand.
First set was painful.
This is looking ominous, don’t think I can watch too much more of this.
Ready and waiting!
Eurosport too - allez Andy.
