Did we bury Christopher Cross alive?

Back on Greasy Lake, during the height of the pandemic, didn't we have an entire thread, supported by links to news articles, about the death of soft-rock legend Christopher Cross? I can't be imagining that, however tonight, through a random tweet, I found out he is alive and well, performing.

That's a great video that shows off his voice, songwriting and guitar chops. I hate the "soft-rock" label that so many artists get stuck with. To me, it's all rock. I saw Christopher Cross on a double-bill with Air Supply and both acts blew the roof off the place....gently.

I follow him on the Twit. He had very bad COVID, and complications that lead to him being in a wheelchair for a while. But yes, he is happy, healthy, still singing and playing.

Yeah. I'm definitely confused, but I do remember a thread on GL - I started it - and my memory is it was because he had died. Maybe it was just about his near-death and my mind muddled the memory. Either way, I'm glad he's still out there because he's a genius. I think for pure pop albums, his 1979 debut is in the ten best of all time.
